Suzanne Merza From Sydney Australia Comments On Her Time With Kris and Tonia Kotsopoulos From Von Forell Kennels

An enormous thank you to Kris and Tonia Kotsopoulos

I flew to Melbourne Victoria in an effort to educate myself and have a better understanding of dogs development, capability and address certain behaviors.

I was in shock to not only see how my dogs relate to certain situations, but more importantly why they behave in the way they did.

The truth is, I invested in a very costly trip to go to Melbourne not being 100% convinced that certain incontestable dog trainers methodology is what's caused my dogs to react the way they do and resorting to offering behaviors to avoid punishment.

Kris didn't have to perform any miracles to expose my dogs so I could see their behavioural issues. He simply let the dogs be and let me clearly witness my dogs in their natural state which confirmed in my mind what I thought all along, only now I know the reasoning behind it all.

I wish to express my experience with Kris and Tonia in writing as it compels me to shed some light on others who may not be aware of their actions affecting their dogs behaviour. It has been a very touching experience and more importantly a huge eye opener for me to see what has been firmly pressed in the social conditioned dog training industry.

For those who are wanting to exceed their dogs training experience whether it be tracking, obedience, protection, sports.. Give Von Forell a call you will not regret it.

DO NOT allow uneducated trainers to poison your mind regarding your dog/s or Von Forell’s training systems. When your dog demonstrates his/her true character you will realize that it's us as handlers who have unknowingly created the suppressed attitudes our dogs have because we have adopted the old training systems from others.  Don't damage your dogs spirit because other trainers/behaviourists have put you in an obligational position to elevate their own business.

People have expressed all sorts of opinions about Von Forell training systems, the bottom line is that the DOGS DONT LIE and Kris's Knowledge and understanding of Dogs shows you just that. Simply pure.

There are no manuals, no dog training scripts that can show you what you get from your visit to Von Forell. Kris clearly opens your Mind by allowing you to see what your dog has been trained to do and he patiently lets you connect to your dog/s so you can wash out any previous dangerous training, so you can help your dog progress and lift his spirit.

This is ALL demonstrated to you by your Dog, not Kris. Kris and Tonia are there to translate as to why the Dogs are being or reacting the way they are.

Never get lured or convinced by the masses. If anything I’ve learnt that the dog arena is a horrible lot of uneducated unethical and dishonourable amateurs.

Kris is a Man of his word and proves his humble ways by giving the warmest welcome and allows you to see for yourself.

Word the the wise, before purchasing a puppy or risk taking your dog to any event, give Kris and Tonia a call and arrange for your dog to visit Von Forell and see him/her for what he really is.

Im apauled at the level of behaviour other Kennels out there perceive Kris. I see it know as pure jealousy and lack of morals as a human being. Those who don’t know can only speak dishonestly. Kris and Tonia don’t speak about others in the arena, their main and only focus is helping handlers achieve what’s in the best interest for the Dog.

We all want the best out of our dogs so do the right thing and have an open mind and visit Von Forell for yourself and make your own decision.

Regards

Lina Femia-Moore Comments On Obedience Workshop Held By Von Forell Training System In Melbourne

Hi Kris and Tonia,

RE: Obedience Workshop – 28th June – Sunday 30th June

Rarely do you meet someone who is able to explain dog training and behaviour concepts in both theoretical and practical terms. It is then exceedingly rare to meet someone who is willing to openly and honestly share this knowledge – to teach! I was fortunate that you both availed me this opportunity to learn.

I have been involved with dogs, dog training and dog behaviour for over 15 years. I have attended numerous dog related seminars, undertaken dog training and behavioral courses and actively sought out information in order to further my own professional development. As I also have a background in education and postgraduate psychology studies, I was painfully aware that prevailing dog training practice simply wasn't adhering to behavioral theory.

I became increasingly confused and frustrated over the years. I wasn't able to get the results I knew I could and I was unable to confidently rationalise the information I was receiving. Unfortunately, my own dogs’ behaviour was deteriorating, and I could not deliver effective outcomes for my clients.

Fortunately, I met Kris during the Obedience in Drive workshop held in Perth, Western Australia on the 6th and 7th of April 2013. Kris, your knowledge and experience along with your passion for all things “dog” was evident. You were also genuinely approachable – no question/subject was unworthy of your attention and time. The possibility of alleviating my “brain cloud” of confusion provided the impetus to travel across the country to your facility in Melbourne and seek further assistance.

I guess one weekend workshop wasn't enough for me and I was not disappointed!

Kris, you are undoubtedly an exceptional teacher. Together with Tonia, what a team!

Through extensive discussion, observation and practical exercises, you both helped clarify my philosophy on
dog training, hone my practical skills and address my own training needs – it really is logical,
straightforward and refreshingly simple. I believe I learned more during that weekend than the last
15 years of training.

I am absolutely delighted with the results I am now achieving – with my own dogs as well as my
clients. I am now able to communicate clearly with my dogs and their performance has dramatically
improved already. Interestingly, a number of long-term behavioural issues which were causing me
great concern are now also resolved. However, the best feedback has been from my clients. The
information I have gained from you has translated very well and is remarkably easy to apply – the
proof lies with the dogs.

On a personal note, thank you both so much for your hospitality during my stay. You were both so
welcoming and generous. You took so much time from your obviously busy schedule to
accommodate me – beyond my expectations. Thank you for your kindness, support and inspiring
me to become a better trainer.

I can’t wait for you to return to Western Australia – I hope to see you both here.

Cheers

Lina Femia-Moore

First Extreme Training Weekend - First National Von Forell Gathering For Australian K-9 Trainers United To Work Together

Von Forell Australia has been contemplating an ambitious event for many years

An idea that intends to get together Australia’s dedicated dog trainers and breeders who are involved in the development of working dogs for a weekend of training and the pursuit of canine excellence and the exchange of innovative ideas.

The weekend will involve 2 to 3 solid days of family oriented involvement in our passion of training dogs and in depth discussions on ANKC, Breeding, General Training, IPO, Law Enforcement, Obedience, Tracking and any other areas that may be interest to you.

It is also an opportunity to voice your opinion on any ideas that you have and would like to share with the National Canine community. Von Forell Australia believes that by sharing our individual ideas, beliefs and experiences in an open friendly learning environment we will overcome some (or many) of the communication barriers that currently exist.

Through these events we will be instrumental in recognising and learning from each other’s ability, as well as encouraging our up and coming youth to participate and advance on the correct principles on breeding and training dogs. There are many other ideas the directors of Von Forell would like to introduce and discuss further.

One of which is that Von Forell Australia will be offering ongoing National training weekends for your personal canine development in your chosen discipline. The details will be tabled for discussion during our weekend together and there will be a deep discussion about the commencement of a National Decoy Program.

This weekend is a must for the canine enthusiasts and is by INVITATION ONLY!  If you know of anyone that is genuinely interested in contributing for the benefit of all please put their name forward.

Warmest Regards,

Von Forell Canine Training Systems
