I attended an obedience, tracking and protection seminar on 13^th and 14^th September 2014 in Perth which was presented by Kris Kotsopolous. The information delivered was refreshing and it was great to be provided with information and training methods on something other than just positive reinforcement – after all, what do you do when your dog wont comply?

Before this seminar, I would have spent a great deal of time and effort just waiting for that moment when I could reinforce a positive behaviour.

I now have the tools and knowledge in how to better shape my dog to get more out of him. The explanations were clear and adapted to the group with Kris actively involving everyone in discussing their own issues being experienced at home. The demonstrations were great and provided that “light bulb moment” when it all came together.

 

I would highly recommend attending Kris’s seminars if you have a dog or pup and especially if you are considering purchasing one. The information provided by Kris will change the way you see dogs, how they learn and how you can get the most out of them.

Although we have been providing assistance to our Von Forell Puppies from the moment they are born we are aware that not every new owner truly understands the significance of strategic environmental stimulation despite all the written information provided.

All environmental stressors should be correctly measured so that they impact your puppy appropriately enriching and stabilizing their behaviour. Measured environmental stress is like inoculation I guess our program can be considered a form of "Mental Inoculation". It prepares your puppy for modern man’s World and in effect amplifies their genetic potential.

When applied correctly you will enhance what your dog was bred to do. Additionally we teach you how dogs learn, what drives them and how to motivate them but we also teach them how to remain calm. Active and inactive states require education and dogs are required to understand why their advantages lay in both states. We will show you how.

Our specially designed group classes run for approximately 1.5 hrs for 6 weekends for all Von Forell puppies however we have now opened our program to all dogs so you all are also welcome to join our groups.

About the Presenters

Kris Kotsopoulos has been involved in breeding and training dogs since 1981. He has worked with first-time dog owners through to the most demanding Law Enforcement Canines and their handlers, and World Championship competitors. Kris and his wife Tonia are breeders of Dobermanns and German Shepherds under the kennel name “Von Forell”. His dogs and training philosophies have been incorporated into many training systems by competitors and Law Enforcement Agencies worldwide.


Kris’s workshops are designed to give you a clear directive of how dogs learn, what drives them, how to improve learning due to purposeful directives, and how to shape behaviour for a dynamic, focused and harmonious performance. Matt Grace has been a Queensland Police dog handler since 2009 and has been diligently focused on obtaining proficient results from him operational canine called “Fox” - Von Forell Saber. To date, his results have been extraordinary. By applying himself diligently he has developed a deep understanding about tracking and the necessary steps required to create a proficient tracker for tactical deployment. Matt now offers his in-depth knowledge on tracking to further develop highly effective tracking teams anywhere in the World.
